MARG Swarnabhoomi, the flagship project of MARG Limited, formally named as “The Land of New thinking” is the campus for education, research, innovation, industry and living. It is located on the East Coast Road (ECR), mid-way between Chennai and Pondicherry.

MARG Swarnabhoomi Launch:

2008

February 2008

• MARG Swarnabhoomi launched on 9th Feb. 2008. The occasion was graced with by Kapil Dev, Actress Revathy and writer Shobhaa de. The launch was a grand success and made an immediate impact.
• JAI-HO CONCERT
• A soul stirring concert by music maestro A R Rahman on the launch of MARG swarnabhoomi .Over 75,000 spectators enjoyed the soulful music of AR.Rahman and his first performance after he won the Oscar award.
• Booking of Homes at MARG Swarnabhoomi kick started on 9th February. NAVRATNA homes phase 1 was launched at a nominal price of Rs10 lakhs.

April 2008

• Rural Job fair were jointly organized by MARG Limited and CII (confederation of Indian Industry) at MARG Swarnabhoomi for the rural youth in cheyyur taluk to enhance their employment opportunities

• MARG signed MoU with Surbana of Singapore for prefab construction technology at MARG Swarnabhoomi

• MARG opens the door at Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music (SAM) - India's first professional college on contemporary music

A Panel Discussion on New Paradigms for Business, Living & Learning

• A group of business heads formed a panel discussion on new paradigms for Business, Living & Learning which was held on October 1st 2009 at swarnabhoomi to explore the importance of owing a land in swarnabhoomi.

November 2009

• Launch of Utsav Homes was held on 27th Nov 2009 and the occasion was graced by Sri Sir Ravi Shankar (Founder of the art of living centre) and DIVYA SATSANG was conducted to experience the blissful singing of Sri Sri Ravi shankar.

2010

January 2010

• The Chinmaya Family Day Event was held on 24th of January at MARG Swarnabhoomi. Around 4000 people turned up for this event which witnessed the performance of mathru pithru pooja by the sons and daughters of all age groups to their parents.

March 2010

• MARG entered into a joint venture with Virginia Tech (USA) to set up the "VIRGINIA TECH MARG Swarnabhoomi" campus. The objective is to deliver programs in India to produce graduates who excel in the research and development. The MoU was signed on March 9, 2010.

February 2010

• A Vintage car Rally on ECR was held on Feb. 6th 2010; over 75 vintage cars took a detour inside MARG Swarnabhoomi campus to laud the spirit of golden oldies.

July 2010

SRINIVASA KALYANA UTSAVAM

• Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam conducted the prayers and Darshan at MARG swarnabhoomi on 24th July 2010.

September 2010

LAUNCH OF SCIENCE PARK:

• MARG science Park was launched on 9th Sep 2010 and would be the first Platinum Rated Science Park in the country. It will be spread over 40 acres & will house 3000 scientists.

SWARNABHOOMI ACADEMY OF MUSIC

• MARG has launched “swarnabhoomi academy of music” on 29th September 2010 honored by the great guitarist Mr.Prasanna and the made the occasion more memorable and it’s a old traditional Indian gurukula system of learning for classical music blending with the modern western educational system.

November 2010

• Mahayagnam of Tree Saplings plantation at MARG Swarnabhoomi was held on 14th Nov 2010. About 5000 saplings were planted in the presence of over 900 students and honored by Mr. G a Raj Kumar IAS and Chairman of Tamil Nadu Cements Co and MB Nirmala, Founder Chairman of Exnora.

• Amrita Research and Innovation Park (ARIP) was launched on 23rd Mar 2011. The facility is inaugurated by Mr.Lakshmi Narayanan (vice chairman of Cognizant Technology). ARIP comes under SEZ; hence can avail all the subsidies and facility.

April 2011

• MARG Navajyothi Vidyalaya was inaugurated on 30th April 2011 at MARG Swarnabhoomi. This institute follows CBSE syllabus and cater the local needs.

August 2011

• MARG Institute of Design and Architecture (MIDAS) was launched on 22nd August 2011 at swarnabhoomi and the inauguration was done by Padma Shree Thotta Tharani in the esteemed presence of Prof. Jayashree Deshpande, Director, National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture and Ex-Indian cricketer Robin Singh.

• MARG Swarnabhoomi launches ‘Swarnabhoomi Cityscapes’; a wide range of highly appreciable villa plots on scenic ECR.

April 2012

• TRIKONA’12 at MARG swarnabhoomi was held on 14th April 2012. A cultural event of MIDAS which helps to explore the talents of the students in designing, sketching, dance, music, photography.

• Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music (SAM) is into its 3rd year of operations with 33 students and International faculties from the US.
• 225 first generation students from LKG to VIII standard are availing affordable CBSE based education at MARG Navajyothi Vidyalaya.
• 60 students are attending Architecture & Design course at MARG Institute of Design & Architecture, Swarnabhoomi(MIDAS) with a unique practical & live experience
• Rural BPO and Employability & learning Centre with over 150 people is operational.
